As a church we take safeguarding very seriously and believe it is our responsibility to create a safe environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults attending any activities we run.  We are committed to good practice as identified by our ‘Safeguarding Policy and Procedures’ document, which conforms to current government and Baptist Union of Great Britain recommendations and can be viewed here:

Safeguarding Team

Our SAFEGUARDING TEAM is responsible for all matters concerning safeguarding in the church, including training and DBS (police) checks for all volunteers and employees.

Advises the church on safeguarding matters and takes appropriate action when concerns are raised or abuse disclosed, discovered or suspected. Organises training for volunteers.

Carries out the administration of criminal record (DBS) checks and supports Claire in other safeguarding matters when necessary.
